Chattodo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). Please read this policy carefully.
When you sign up using Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture as provided by Google. You may also provide a display name, handle, bio, avatar, and personal links within the App.
We store the messages you send and receive, including text messages, images, videos, GIFs, audio recordings, files, documents, contacts, and location data that you choose to share. Messages may be marked as tasks (todos) with assignment and status information.
We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used, tasks created, messages sent, and general usage patterns. This helps us improve the App experience.
We may collect device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for the purpose of delivering push notifications and ensuring App compatibility.
Your data is stored using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore. Messages are stored directly in Cloud Firestore and are not end-to-end encrypted. Firebase provides infrastructure-level security including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest for stored data. Access to your data is controlled through Firebase security rules and authentication.
While we rely on Firebase's security infrastructure, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage users to be mindful of the information they share.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data, though some information may be retained in backups for a limited period or as required by law.

Welcome to Chattodo. By downloading, installing, or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
By creating an account and using Chattodo, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Chattodo is a messaging application that allows users to send messages, create and assign tasks from messages, manage todos, search across conversations, mention users, share media and files, record voice messages, react to messages, and manage their profile and connections.

You retain ownership of the content you create and share through Chattodo. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and deliver your content as necessary to provide the service.
Messages marked as todos, task assignments, and completion statuses are features of the App. Chattodo is not a substitute for professional project management tools and makes no guarantees about task completion or deadline management.
You may send connection requests to other users. Both parties must accept a connection to begin personal messaging. You may block users at any time, which will prevent them from contacting you or viewing your profile.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
Chattodo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chattodo and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will update the "Effective Date" when changes are made.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
